Why did God choose Moses over Aaron to talk to Pharaoh?
In the biblical account, God chose Moses over Aaron to be the primary spokesperson to Pharaoh and the leader of the Israelites for several reasons:
Divine Calling: Moses received a direct and extraordinary divine calling from God through the burning bush. When God appeared to Moses in the form of a burning bush, He chose Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. This calling was a unique and personal encounter with God, making it clear that Moses had a specific mission.
Leadership Qualities: Moses demonstrated leadership qualities that made him suitable for the task. He had been raised in Pharaoh's palace and had knowledge of Egyptian culture and courtly matters. Divine Signs and Miracles: God provided Moses with miraculous signs to authenticate his mission and demonstrate God's power.
